Only a couple of days until Halloween now, who will be trick or treating with their little ones? We live on a busy main road so not an ideal place to go trick or treating with kids in fancy dress on a dark evening. However the good people at Volvo have launched Be Scary, Be Safe, an initiative aimed at keeping trick-or-treating kids visible and safe at night using its unique reflective safety spray Volvo LifePaint, which has just gone on sale in dealerships nationwide at the cost price of £9, so Volvo makes no profit on it’s sale.
Volvo LifePaint is a highly reflective spray aimed at increasing the visibility and safety of vulnerable road users. Invisible by daylight, it glows brightly in the glare of car headlights, making the invisible visible at night. Be Scary, Be Safe encourages parents to spray their children with LifePaint before they go trick-or-treating this Halloween, ensuring that despite dark and scary costumes, they are highly visible to all drivers. The paint is non toxic and can be easily washed off at the end of the night.
Volvo are also releasing a set of spooky Halloween spray stencils, allowing kids to adorn their outfits with reflective skeletons. The stencils can be downloaded for free at Volvo Cars, while parents can purchase LifePaint from their local Volvo dealership. Find your nearest dealership, and remember Volvo make no profit on the sale, this is a safety campaign for halloween fully supported by the AA and RAC.

I have received product from Mikado for this post. It is an entry to the Foodies100 Stick out your personality challenge sponsored by Mikado. Mikado are unique, long & ultra-thin crunchy biscuit sticks coated with smooth milk chocolate, with one end left bare so that you don’t get sticky fingers when eating. Mikado comes in four delicious flavours: Milk, White, Daim and Choco King, and stocked in all major supermarkets at an RRP of £1.39. To find out more, visit https://www.facebook.com/Mikado.uk.
We were provided with a selfie stick, photo frame, some ultra-thin crunchy biscuit sticks dipped in delicious chocolate and a giant size pack of Mikado. Now it was time to stick out our personality with Mikado.
So how do you eat your Mikado? We decided to pack up the bell tent and travel down to the Kingsmead Centre, Clayhidon in Somerset to get outdoors and sleep under the stars with ours. Despite the rain and the mud we had a fun few days making camp fires, playing games and just having some much needed technology free time.
What better way to eat a Mikado stick then to push a marshmallow on the end and cook it over a camp fire. These are our version of s’mores, but these are better as you get to eat the stick too! Every time we go camping, we always make sure the campsite allows campfires. Its become tradition once the tent is all set up, we all sit around and eat toasted marshmallows.
Our favourite thing to do is to get outdoors with the children and the tent, there is no limit to where you can go. Camping in the forest, or by the beach, we have even taken the tent to the South of France for 2 weeks. It only seemed right we would stick out our personality at a campsite with our Mikado sticks. Leave a comment below and let me know how you stick out your personality with some Mikado.
