I was lucky enough to be invited to taste the new menu last month in Dorchester. Oh how I love my job so much, and just wow! I was not disappointed, these are the new additions to the menu. There was also a come back of the classic Kare Lomen, and the new Iki Beer. A premium beer infused with green tea.
Grilled duck ramen
Noodles in a vegetable soup topped with tender boneless duck leg and pea shoots. Garnished with coriander, chillies, spring onions and a citrus ponzu sauce.
Noodles in a vegetable with thai basil topped with a variety of exotic mushrooms; including oyster, chestnut and shiitake with asparagus. Garnished with silken tofu and a chilli, garlic, sesame and soy sauce.
Pulled pork gyoza
Five steamed, grilled pulled pork dumplings. Served with a spiced black vinegar and ginger sauce.
Mahi mahi curry
Grilled white fish (Mahi Mahi to be exact) in a spicy curry sauce with sweet potato, red and green peppers and mushrooms. Served wit rice and garnished with coriander cress.
Tender stem broccoli and bok choi, stir-fried in garlic and soy sauce.
Ramen noodles in a spicy coconut and lemongrass soup topped with grilled chicken or prawns, cucumber and bean sprouts. Garnished with coriander and lime.
Massive thank you to Wagamama for the invitation to taste the new menu before it was made public. My favourites would be the grilled duck ramen and the wok-friend greens followed closely behind by the pulled pork gyoza. We love taking the children to Wagamama, they cater for all the family and even help allergy sufferers build a dish suitable for them. My husband is on a dairy and gluten free diet, and they provide a chart to read along side the menu to work out which dishes are suitable or what ingredients can be left out.
