Odeon in Dorchester have kindly invited the family and myself to attend a special charity event tomorrow evening, it is being held to raise money for the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance Charity. Odeon have arranged a pre screening of Cloudy with a side of Meatballs 2 at the cinema on Thursday 17th October in their new 94 seat auditorium, complete with a fully digital screen and a range of premier seats.
Inspired by the popular children’s book, Cloudy with a side of Meatballs 2 is an animated sequel about Flint Lockwood who now works at The Live Corp Company for his idol Chester V. But he’s forced to leave his post when he learns that his most infamous machine is still operational and is churning out menacing food-animal hybrids.
The children really enjoyed the first film so they are very excited about watching the sequel. I hope it will be a very successful event and raise a lot of money for an amazing charity. Any one attending the event will be encouraged to make donations via collection buckets circulated by the charity’s volunteers.
Brewery Square in Dorchester is out of this world, I was invited there last week by Wagamama to test their new winter menu (more on that soon). I had not heard about it as we are more North Dorset but literally WOW! they have done an amazing job. A mixture of restaurants and bars, large fountains in the centre and of course the new Odeon, and some designer shops around the edge. It feels more like being on holiday or in London, it certainly does not feel like a small Dorset town.
